I believe that every woman stands to benefit when she has a good self care regime in place. The winter is a great season to establish new habits or revamp older ones!

Stick to Your Skin Care Regime
Caring for skin during winter takes just a little extra time and effort. Indoor heat can have a drying effect on your skin as well. It’s a good idea to add a humidifier to your space because the moisture it puts out benefits your skin. Also, consider switching to an oil based moisturizer for the winter and make sure you tone and moisturize within 30 seconds of finishing cleansing to avoid further dehydration.
Eat Your Fruit
Fruit is the candy of the earth and there are countless benefits that come from switching your junk food out for super foods—healthy skin, a stronger immune system, and a consistent source for your daily vitamins. When you show love to your body, your body will show love back to you. Pomegranates oranges bananas and cranberries are all great fruits to consume during the winter months. They’re full of Vitamin D, B-6, and Vitamin C. We don’t get these nutrients as readily during the winter months.
Intentional Rest
Because sometimes you get a little moody, anxious, and stressed. When you add that to the less than forgiving temperature outside it’s easy to catch the winter blues! A 20-30 minute nap is a good steal on time to give you a natural energy boost to keep tackling the day.
Unplug, Logout, & Turn Off
Be like Beyoncé with your attention and work on those things that give you fulfillment and joy. Turn off your notifications for social sites and log out of your accounts instead of just closing the app out —make sure you know your password first. Go live your life or create one worth living. Then if you even remember, go back and share it with the world. Social media is open 365 days a year. It will be there when you get back.
Start a New Series
Do you remember those days where it seemed like there was way too much time on the clock and one to many reruns of the same show? Most of us have our favorite shows that walked us through adolescence. Diving back into those can be a good feeling of nostalgia. Netflix has definitely come with it this year and put some of my favorite shows up. Start a new series, again!
